My theoretical research is dedicated to developing and engineering new topological-quantum phases of matter. I rely on technological advances both in the fields of electronic nanosystems such as quantum wires and quantum dots, and from the other hand quantum simulators based on cold-atoms and quantum optics. My group often characterizes electronic devices by their quantum transport signatures and develops future applications. Recently we suggested that arrays of quantum wires hosting Majorana zero modes are an ideal platform for a promising scheme for quantum computation known as the surface code. Lately I became interested in measuring quantum entanglement via adopting quantum information methods. Finally I am also interested in quantum impurity physics.
